Tracked 48 to Isle of Man

Post by GaryE2000 »

I posted a Large letter on the 31st May, using the Tracked 48 service; to be delivered to the Isle of Man.

Everything seemed to be going well; it updated to show that it reached the Chelmsford Mail Centre at 6:42am on the 1st of June. But since then; there has been no further update.

I’m not sure how long it should take, but I’d assumed 3-4 days. Should there be another update before it reaches the Isle of Man?

Even Special delivery for Isle of man takes 1 - 2 business days.

But they have no Saturday deliveries, they some requirements for Customs check being a Crown dependency rather than part of the UK, and all post arriving by ferry https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-i ... n-67101264 will cause some delays

Hopefully you either filled out a customs form, or it didn't need one. In any case I would estimate 4 working days rather than 4 actual days as a target.

Thanks for the information; it didn’t require a Customs Declaration, but has successfully arrived today. :Very Happy

I was expecting a Tracking update when it left the Mainland or arrived on the Isle of Man; but it went straight to delivery.
