Re: Polling Cards 2024
In our DO, nor all walks got them. The Council Returning Office went with a taxi firm for most of their coverage. They left the rest - walks with long driveways - to RM.
Don't know what this has to do with the union. Its a commercial contract between the councils and RM.

No wonder council tax is at ridiculous levels if the eejits choose delivery by taxi. Good grief if that was happening in my council area I’d be incandescent.

Scoobydoo, ask for the election claim form (and for everyone else if your office), fill it in, (the amount per item is listed on it) and then submit it for payment.

I'm guessing the deal is tendered and the taxi company won on price.Barnacle wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 10:30The council used a taxi firm to deliver polling cards?!?garrilla wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 10:25In our DO, nor all walks got them. I suppose the quality test will come at a later date.

They are pulling a fast one. You should get (at least) 3p min per item for polling cards
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

We did actually get paid for them in the end, or at least got given a form to fill in. Not told the payment amount per onescoobydo79 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 17:29Yep because Whistle paid the postage so you get nothing for delivering them. Union is this correct or managers pulling a fast one?
