Many places split their breaks now.
20 minutes at normal break time and then 20 minutes at the end.
We all knew this was happening, it's been explained for months.
The changes are allot less drastic then predicted because of hard fought negotiations from the union.
The planes were being pulled whatever the outcome of the dispute was.
Capacity reasons and losing customers to green related aims made sure of that.
The union have mitigated the damage as much as they could.
Fighting for an eventual 35 hours week and potential watering down of 1st class targets in any USO changes in the future may even revert the times back to the status quo.
Time to get behind the union again.
Royal mail won't fight for your work life balance, only the union will.

There’s nothing to stop them saying in a few months “we need to put start/finish times even later - this is just the startLouBarlow wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 21:15How are the CWU selling their members out? They have actively improved this aspect of the agreement that we voted on. RM wanted a lot more. To get only 15 minutes of change for a lot of offices is remarkable. They should be commended.Valentina@1 wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 14:19Sadly,trusted their union, nobody would have foreseen that CWU would sell members out?

I reckon it was a stitch up ,not many voted yes in our office, its becoming just like our general elections, we are more like Russia everyday.Ren Hoëk wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 20:49Iv yet to find a single yes voter...Rarer than hen's teeth apparently.guardianangel wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 19:43Me too ,its funny watching all the yes voters moaning like f--k.Philbag70 wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 15:06Indeed. I voted NO and I'm still bitter and angry about it! Lol
The deed is done however and now we face the consequences.

With all these changes same people will still start early and work through some of there meal breaks if not all .Then you'll be having a revision every year ,more changes it won't stop until they get workers on the contracts they want.

Have some feelings for the many selfish, (not all), strikebreakers. They have been hit so hard by this as well.

We were told feb 19th like the rest of the country, then over the weekend a notice went up saying they are reviewing the IPWH and this will be completed feb 26th, then new duty sets will be drawn up.yellowbelly wrote: ↑20 Feb 2024, 08:30How can DO's get their times if the MC's haven't been informed of theirs?
March 25th new duty sets agreed and signed off.
Go live june 17th. (anyone notice that has changed from june 1st?)

Sounds like we can expect re-signs on every shift in every MC as a result.2chorizon wrote: ↑20 Feb 2024, 09:12We were told feb 19th like the rest of the country, then over the weekend a notice went up saying they are reviewing the IPWH and this will be completed feb 26th, then new duty sets will be drawn up.yellowbelly wrote: ↑20 Feb 2024, 08:30How can DO's get their times if the MC's haven't been informed of theirs?

It's crazy that all delivery offices have been given new start times and yet nobody seems to know when the mail and parcels will actually arrive from the mail centres.

Re: NETWORK CHANGES - LATER START AND FINISH TIMES IN DELIVERY OFFICES
Some of our local DO's have had no change at all, MC not that far away, but I don't see that lasting. These changes just seem like the start of a very slippery slope and to think back in the day we were always the first company out on the streets delivering and nowadays probably the last out.
