Good evening everyone,
Please, I don't know what to do, Royal mail is trying to get me back to depression, I sent an item to Derby in the December period, and they couldn't get there before the receiver could travel out of the country because the item is supposed to be to abroad, and luckily I have the tracking number tho I didn't include a return address, and I was told that they could deliver the item so I asked them if I could give my details for a return since the receiver didn't get it three days after the attempted, I was told is not possible,


Now, I'm being told that it's now a missing item and that it's not possible to get it back, I have been calling them to check up on what's next and they keep on telling me to wait until the box reflects to brown color as it's not showing any color at that moment.

Please, I need help pls, my marriage DVD player is inside and it's not possible to get the cameraman, pls, @Royal mail, pls, return my item, my mom's Jewelry is inside pls, and my son's school items too, pls

Sorry to say this but why did you send this parcel knowing the recipient was away on holiday? They only hold the item for a certain amount of days then send it back to the sender and if they don't have a return address it goes to Belfast at the returns centre and there it could likely get destroyed.
Try and phone customer services or get hold of someone via Twitter and give them as much info as possible to identify your item and hope they can find it and send it back to you. Otherwise I'm afraid you'll have to accept its loss.

Why wouldn't you put a return address, especially if it's something valuable? Now you know next time how important it is to provide it. I hope you can sort this out successfully but you need to speak to Royal Mail customer service. This is not a website run by RM. It's just a website for their staff to chat more than anything and people who reply in this section aren't doing so officially but just like normal people in a forum. They're not working as customer service representatives.

You might have to try more than once to find a customer service rep for RM that will understand and assist you efficiently, as sometimes you get people who tell you incorrect stuff or who aren't very interested in doing their best to assist unfortunately. It happens with many companies and their customer service representatives.

If you get the right person they should be able to provide any relevant info to make it possible for the item to be sent back to you. Try until you find someone who knows what to do. You can do it via Twitter or by phoning them, like I've said.
There's no guarantee they could find it even if they were willing to look for it but you gotta try if it's that important for you to have the contents back.

I phoned multiple times and I was told to wait until it gets to the return center.
