Item lost in Glasgow mail centre for a month

Post by AllanH »

Hi an item sent from UAE is lost in Glasgow mail centre for a month. I was advised by telephone that I should contact the sender so they can lodge a complaint. The sender doesn’t want to do that. The item is one of a kind so a refund is no good. I called PO again and was told again that sender needs to make a claim. I was stonewalled. The item was scanned into the mail centre then was obviously lost. I want someone to LOOK FOR THE LOST ITEM. How do I get it done? Thanks

We aren't an official site so there isn't an official way for us to search for it.

However, the best way to get it passed on to you is to put a claim in. Then if something has gone wrong and its been passed to the National Returns centre for investigation they can match the claim and parcel and get it to you.

Thanks for answering, I already knew this wasn’t an official site, that’s why I posted here, to get “unofficial” advice. I got the impression from my phone calls and the official website that it’s the sender that needs to put the claim in?
