I recently sent a letter to my bank by SD by 1pm, and the tracking shows that it was scanned at the DO in the morning then 10 mins later, it was collected. And the signature said "courier" and a name.
Now I also work as a postie and I assume that this postie has been trying to save time. But what the hell gives him the authority? Would any of you posties do this? I certainly wouldn't chance it.
The real issue is I am not sure if the bank even received my letter. What is the point of using this service for important and urgent documents if this can happen?
As I work for Royal Mail instead this postie should of informed his managers about his time issues if that was the case. I know they're all get it out out out but it's not good to let the managers push you to exhaustion for their bonus, it's not like they care about the company.
Thoughts?

It's possible that the bank collects their mail direct from the delivery office. They might bulk sign for anything that needs signing for.

Was it just going to a local branch or was it going to one of their large admin type offices?

Nope just a signature. but not even a GPRS tag, when other items sent in the same way previously showed the signature location.
