This morning around 10am, the postman collected my two parcels. He brought labels as requested and I affixed them to the parcels myself. At around 2 pm I received my first tracking notices which both said, "Unfortunately, we couldn’t collect due to the following reasons: RYxxxxxxxxxGB - There didn't seem to be anyone in when we called.
Should I be worried or will the tracking sort itself out later if/when the parcels reach the depot?

When you affixed the labels the postie should have scanned the barcodes to acknowledge receipt of the parcels.
I can only assume he has hit the wrong button on his PDA or there is some other computer glitch.
If they were collected they should be advancing through the pipeline and you should see further updates depending on the service you are using.
