International Item Processing at Jubilee MC

Post by EndlessCircuit »

Hello there, I got a international mail from China that I am expecting to be delivered soon. The seller provided me with the tracking number of AT113973484CN and and told me usually China Post will be in charge of the part where it gets from China UK. The seller also told me royal mail is usually in charge of the final delivery stages within UK.

When I put this tracking information into universal tracking websites, it suggests that my item arrives at PSC Atherstone around 8am 28th Nov and smoothly got to Jubilee MC at 8am 29th Nov. And it has been…… well…… staying there for sometime now.

It seems to be at the last stage of distributing it to our local postal office but the process do take longer then I expected. So I just wonder how long it would typically take Jubilee MC to process a mail from abroad. Should I expect a delivery in the coming week?

An update on the situation, today I saw it has been updated as my intem left Jubilee and get to South Kensington DO and it is “Due to be delivered today” on Dec 1st, and Today is Dec 4th now…… I tried to look up for the South Kensington DO on Royal mail official website but finds nothing. And visiting there personally gives me a answer from Imperial College Security that there is no longer a royal mail Office there years ago? Anyone know the situation know what happens or wherr my mail is redirected?

As to the item, something strange is going on looking at this website none of the scans have been performed by Royal Mail, and one scan was out for delivery at 22:18. We don't scan them till early morning - 5 am to 9 am would be the average times.

I am wondering if this was a part of a bulk dispatch that is being split down, but even then the scans make no sense.

I seem to get some intuitive on what is going as we see multiple duplicated information with time difference of 8 hours, this should be the local time difference between UK and China, so the earlier one being UK time, in this case it is 14:18 being the UK time for delivery and does this make any sense?

14:18 would make more sense but even the later shifts usually start prepping around 12:00 and are finished delivering around 7pm so mid-afternoon as already for delivery, while possible would be unusual.

But for me the most concerning this is that none of the scans appear to be Royal Mail ones. When I did a track on RMs website I got
Sorry, we're currently unable to confirm the status of your item with reference AT113973484CN . Please try again tomorrow.
I honestly don't think it has entered the Royal mail system unless the changed the tracking number to a GB-ending one.
