Hello everybody,
I know this isnt the official contact or whatever, but the official RM call center doesnt know what's going on with my package (both the sender and I contacted) that I'm going to recieve from the UK to another country, might as well ask to see if there's normally any hope of me getting my package, my country isnt on the service updates list and they're normally pretty alright on the inbound packages:
Monday 06 November 2023
19:29
Item Despatched to Heathrow Worldwide DC
Birmingham MC
18:10
Item received at
Birmingham MC
Tuesday 31 October 2023
17:29
Item received at
London Central MC
11:58
Sender preparing item
11:39
Accepted at Post Office
(some post office in London)
It's very weird because normally I'd see atleast one scan somewhere inside heathrow itself, but it's stuck "going" there... been 20 days now, shouldn't be normal to not even try to leave the UK! RM was contacted enough times since 6th of novembers and they always have the response "wait until 5th of december and file a claim as lost if you want", not really telling us why this might happen or is it just delayed or on hold or diverted or whatever, which is just a consolation at this point as it's a package I would wait for as long but not really afford to "lose" it. The random routing to Birmingham makes absolutely no sense too, which to be fair the RM call center agrees to me with. It's a computer board with no lithium batteries or stuff, no issues in my home conutry with that neither would it be on the UK's prohibited list too
Should I have hope or just write this off as lost??
Thanks all

Re: Weird stuff going on international outbound package
What country is it going to?
The Birmingham scan is either it's been missorted there or another possibility is that HWDC were over capacity and had diverted some mail to be sorted elsewhere

Yeah, the RM customer service said that it shouldnt go the Birmingham route but no further details on whats happening really, the shipment has been acting weird from the start

Re: Weird stuff going on international outbound package
As an update, for anyone who's searching this in the future, I got the following:
Saturday 02 December 2023
12:55
Item has left the overseas International Processing Centre
Heathrow Worldwide DC
07:16
Item Received
Some weird wording almost 1 month after the initial "dispatch", (normally it should say Leaving the UK??) but hopefully that's good news for me then and that it would be finally moving on
