Careful now, next thing you know you will become his latest stalker/bully/enemy and join the rest of us who all battle to ignore him. Yes, and when ‘Peak’ starts in 2 weeks, we will have drivers on packet duties, also any loops left in will be taken out after 1pm by new starters, who are on more flexible contracts. Poor fcukers.

Our office would obviously be falsifying the figures. There are often loops and trays left under the frames. We have agency and extra hire vans and are still failing and imho it's all due to the revisions. Credit to some of the ones who have been clearing though as they are often working past 4pm.

If I thought for a moment there was actually any chance of it I'd be more inclined to believe the numbers would be falsified in the other direction. 'Sorry, team, we fell 1% short'. The ComDom dilemma this peak is to fudge the numbers just enough to look like the situation has improved without boosting them across the finish line that they commit fraud on your behalf.

And the money doesn't exist. Do you think they have millions set aside to cover even half the country getting a payout? If they did they could just offer a decent OT rate.

The money does exist though. The company (as a whole) earlier in year actually had 3.8 billion in retained earnings and access to 1.8 billion in available liquidity. Retained earnings is basically the accumulation of net income that is retained by the company. Whilst it made record profits during the pandemic and it has been on a non-stop looting spree on behalf of its shareholders; the company is actually doing quite well financially.

Over the last few years there has been a massive reduction in staffing and RM will make even greater profits due to revisions, seasonal variations and cuts to sick pay entitlements. New staff have even been offered lower pay, terms and conditions - not because RM can't afford it - but because it keeps their costs down. The only reason why the company doesn't offer a decent overtime rate is so that it can make even more money at the expense of the workforce. The 5.6 million fine that they will pay to OfCom is small potatoes compared to how much they will have raked in for deliberately running down the USO.

It would be if it was national, however unless you're in the London weighting area or whatever it's called these days the rate is £15.36 (£12.29 + 25%) and of course that's when you've gone over 40 hours.

Edited...sorry my mistake it's when you've gone over 40.
