Quite right too. You’ve got all the contributing to the forums, dedicated to the new job you acquired after leaving, to do.einastronaut wrote: ↑12 Nov 2023, 16:20I said: "it is failing to perform its function in every single UK postcode."

If you think the language is "completely changed" then that seems to be a comprehension issue on your end. "Delivery failures" by a delivery company is failing to perform its function.
I won't waste any more time debating a fool.

Careful now, next thing you know you will become his latest stalker/bully/enemy and join the rest of us who all battle to ignore him. I expect he will take exemption to being mentioned and accuse me of stalking/harassing with the inevitable verbal crap, but it's just best to ignore him. Very occasionally he says something vaguely sensible but his default mode of lackie/toady always comes back into play eventually.einastronaut wrote: ↑12 Nov 2023, 16:20I said: "it is failing to perform its function in every single UK postcode."

Ah another one whose head I live in rent-free. Obsessed. More precisely it was being accused of being a manager. That was clearly a breach of the rules, but as I said before, either that rule has gone or there is no moderation on here any more. Makes you wonder how CRIBMAD managed to get banned, though of course I’m sure he still regularly contributes on here under his alternate account.

Our office would obviously be falsifying the figures. There are often loops and trays left under the frames. We have agency and extra hire vans and are still failing and imho it's all due to the revisions. Credit to some of the ones who have been clearing though as they are often working past 4pm.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

If I thought for a moment there was actually any chance of it I'd be more inclined to believe the numbers would be falsified in the other direction. 'Sorry, team, we fell 1% short'. The ComDom dilemma this peak is to fudge the numbers just enough to look like the situation has improved without boosting them across the finish line that they commit fraud on your behalf.
And the money doesn't exist. Do you think they have millions set aside to cover even half the country getting a payout? If they did they could just offer a decent OT rate.
The machine stops.

£18.25 per hour is quite a decent OT rate, though, is it not?If they did they could just offer a decent OT rate.

The money does exist though. The company (as a whole) earlier in year actually had 3.8 billion in retained earnings and access to 1.8 billion in available liquidity. Retained earnings is basically the accumulation of net income that is retained by the company. Whilst it made record profits during the pandemic and it has been on a non-stop looting spree on behalf of its shareholders; the company is actually doing quite well financially.
Over the last few years there has been a massive reduction in staffing and RM will make even greater profits due to revisions, seasonal variations and cuts to sick pay entitlements. New staff have even been offered lower pay, terms and conditions - not because RM can't afford it - but because it keeps their costs down. The only reason why the company doesn't offer a decent overtime rate is so that it can make even more money at the expense of the workforce. The 5.6 million fine that they will pay to OfCom is small potatoes compared to how much they will have raked in for deliberately running down the USO.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Why do you care so much if you have left the company?mwalker88 wrote: ↑15 Nov 2023, 18:10You should probably lay off the drugs pal.LouBarlow wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 14:35Ah another one whose head I live in rent-free. It would be if it was national, however unless you're in the London weighting area or whatever it's called these days the rate is £15.36 (£12.29 + 25%) and of course that's when you've gone over 40 hours.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑15 Nov 2023, 22:04£18.25 per hour is quite a decent OT rate, though, is it not?If they did they could just offer a decent OT rate.
Edited...sorry my mistake it's when you've gone over 40.
