HELP! Parcel redirection for no reason....

Hi, I purchased an items from asos (delivered by royal mail) I received an email from asos to say it has been delivered today to a safe place and that I should have been left a card to explain where my parcel is. I have not received a parcel or a card so I checked with Royal mail tracking and it says " Pending" " As requested Colwyn Bay DO is forwarding this item to a different address as part of our Redirection service. See below for more information.
Delivery will be made as per the Redirection service requested.

I have not purchased a redirection service in my life so I have no idea as to why it is saying this, please could someone enlighten me as to why it is saying that and why I have had no card to tell me as to the whereabouts of my package.

Johnny, this sounds like either a genuine mistake when scanning the parcel at the depot early in the morning.

Or someone has fraudulently set up a re-direction service against your address.

I would check with your local depot when it opens on Sunday morning (ask them to check the yellow folder) and also flag it up to the police as a precautionary measure.

I had one on my delivery rounds about 6 months ago.
