I look forward to you educating us further each week on your tax and national insurance contributions on your wage. Why else bring it up if not surprise at having to pay tax and NI on the lump sum?Foxel wrote: ↑13 Sep 2023, 22:11What in my post exhibits surprise in any manner? For it is my comments, how would I go about surprising myself?
Tax and NI are both single variables, just like pro-rata rate, that decide what the actual benefit of the bonus is. Just as a business shouldn't use gross profit as the key indicator when making decisions, it's best to work out the actual net worth.
Your eagerness and enthusiasm to jump to Royal Mails' defence leaves you vulnerable to making stupid comments. You can do better.
I guess it follows the natural progression though
1) Oh I don’t want the blood money anyway
2) Oh we won’t get the money anyway. We were supposed to get it the week after a deal was agreed!
3) Oh don’t forget we will all be paying tax and national insurance on it so it will be next to nothing anyway!
Negative, negative, negative.
