Is my package lost?
A package was dispatched from Pakistan on the 25th of August. According their tracking it arrived here on the 29th of August and was handed to the office of exchange. Since then it hasn't moved or given any updates. is this normal or is it lost?

Fairly normal. As far as we know, packages are picked at random for extra customs checks, so customs clearance times are variable.
If you tell us what is inside we can tell you if there is likely to be an actual problem with the contents, as opposed to just a random check.

It is made of precious metal and an antique… there might be a slight delay while Customs work out what tax to charge on it.

I suppose that's possible but the value isn't massively high, less than £50 with postage included, so it shouldn't be liable to vat or duty. Seems odd customs holding it so long.

They might be holding it to check that the value on the customs declaration is reasonable, given what it is.
