Parcel lost?

Post by white2510 »

Hi All

I ordered an item from a well known brand in my hobby via their website and the company is based in Denmark.

Their website says 3/6 days for delivery once shipped.

When I click the link it takes me to a fedex FIC shipping page with royal mail tracking number and a link for a normal royal mail tracker.

All the information I can see says its still not been handed over to a courier as such as there are no scans accepting it.

Does anyone know whats happening here? Ive never seen the FIC shipping page before
Tracking info I have is
WB763527883GB - 48 hour tracked

Probably not lost White, it just hasn't entered the RM system yet at a Regional Distribution Centre.

How many days are you into your 3/6 days ?, ie when did you place your order ? :cuppa

Today is day 5 days including the weekend.

I've never had a parcel not enter the RM system so slowly before which has me worried.

Could it be that the Denmark company are sending a huge bulk order with FedEx to the Uk.

Then when it reaches the Regional Distribution Centre, its split into many smaller consignments (ie your order), for which you have already received the RM tracking reference.

Its a bit of a guess - but that's what it looks like to me :cuppa

On a personal level I don't order items from abroad, as I can't be bothered with all the hassle.

Keep checking that RM tracking reference and let us know here what happens please.

Alternatively when you placed your order you may have received an email confirmation ?

If so, see if there is any offer of help available from the Denmark company.

I reckon that's what's happening. Tried the longer tracking number on the Parcelapp website and it comes up with an initial courier called "P2P Trakpak" which I've never heard of before

I thought it might be coming fed ex part the way.
I've never seen the tracking info they sent me before- confusing but seems to work. I know others that have ordered from the company previously with successful deliveries.

I have reached out to them, I asked but they were not much help! I've gone back advising today is day 6 and awaiting an update but not holding out hope 😂

I did pay PayPal so it should be easy enough given the tracking shows it never reaching an actual courier!

The UK tracking number is for when it enters the UK. At the moment it hasn't as the latest tracking indicates it's in the Netherlands. This is a common practice for items that are sent to a central warehouse by courier, and then the orders are split down and sent out when they arrive in the UK.

https://parcelsapp.com/en is the best tracking site I know and you can track both numbers on there.
