It is the same everywhere. However that is not what Guardian was saying.

It's the fact that we are being forced to fail the USO.

Some of us are still Posties.

They are basically destroying the mail service. And it will end up people just accepting that’s the way things are now, with the company blaming sickness, covid or anything else they can think of.

Does anyone think they want ofcom to fine them millions so they say they cant pay and need to get rid of the USO,surely the person committing the offence can be imprisoned upto 2 years for mis leading the regulator ,i wonder if the s**t was to hit the fan would it be local bosses for the high jump as senior leaders will deny everything, not that im bothered it would make my day for ripping the public off.

I wonder if the COMs and local screws have got the instruction to carry on prioritising Tracked given to them from above in writing. If they have any sense they will have got it in writing to cover their own ass

Get your rep to put a 'Streaming of the mail' disagreement. We are taking the tracked off the failed duties every day now. It will not stop it but it will force someone at a higher level to admit they are doing it. We are swimming against the tide of letter deprioritisation it's about to become a tsunami.

We are being told to prioritise them, but we are refusing to! And no one has been sacked. Ask for it in writing they will not do it!

After effortlessly lying on camera twice to the committee with no repurcussions, nothing serious is happening to these people and they know it. Ofcom will give them an obligatory fine for PR sake, which RM will deep down happily take for the carnage theyve caused. RM are seen to be punished and Ofcom can go back to doing feck all

This has been policy (in my office, beginning with my duty and creeping onto the others) since Autumn 2018.

From the 1st instance (though it nearly got me a nervous breakdown to do so) I made sure that it was 'their' operational proceedure and not 'my failure' by insisting upon the pre-delivery 'conversation' with management to clarify that I had enough delivery to cover the shift plus a bit of overtime plus the tracked items for the uncovered part and infrom them what was left in the frame and this is as per Royal Mails own Over-running delivery policy.

Its simple enough, or should be, but the managers would hide away, utilise Dark Triad bullshit or refuse to engage but never the less, every day I'd not leave until it was done and when you're the only one in the office (at 1st) having to do that its tedious and tiring to say the least.

The 'ball is in their court', their choice, their business to run.

A manager recently conversed with me as thus:

M "How do you do it Ad?"

A "How do I do what?"

M "Keep on coming in and keeping on when its set up to fail"

A "Its not my sabotage, its your sabotage"

At least they're apparently reporting their failures now. From 2018 until a few months ago they were not reporting and were 'cooking the books' with Dark Triad B&H and manipulation.

But make no mistake, its 'their failure'....not ours.

Take videos/photos and send them ananomously to local MP/Darren What's His Name/Union/Whoever if you're that concerned. Not that they'll give a f**k.

If they want you to prioritise Tracked and Parcels then do that let’s be honest what do customers want more their parcels or their junk Mail.

I really don’t understand why people get upset over this let them run the company the way they want and just work your contracted hours and go home.
