Claimed for lost parcel but has turned up weeks later.

Post by tai101 »

So I sent a parcel to Germany a couple of weeks before Easter and I filled a claim for it being lost when I was able to. Royal Mail gave me the value of the item back but today the parcel has randomly turned up out of the blue.

So what happens now? I went to the post office where I sent it from and the guy said don't say anything to the Royal Mail as the case is closed. So I'm just checking to see if anyone else has had this issue before? I was reading on another website and they said the same just if ignore it and forget about it.

Thanks
Tai

The advice to "just ignore and forget about it" is correct. Too many items in the system for RM to ever know check or know that it ever turned up.
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.
