Wonder what the turnover is for other companies
Some people think its easy to go round doing parcels

Re: Leaving already?
Reasons why they left?
When you first start work for a company, that is the time you tend to work your hardest, go the extra mile....
The problem now is that new starts will quickly realise they literally have to go the extra mile every single day. Jobs are too big that new starts are probably staying out 1 hour+ over their finish times as they won't know the round. It will be massively draining on them physically and mentally.
New starts must have a terrible first impression of what the job entails and quickly realise they cannot commit to it longer term.

Re: Leaving already?
If the company cannot keep experienced long-serving staff; how does it really expect new entrants on even less pay, terms and conditions to stick around?
I know it must be crap for some people being unemployed and living on benefits. But it must also be crap to be working in an environment where you don't know your hours or what you will be doing from one day to the next.

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Re: Leaving already?
And we're 20% over paid. How can that be if staff aren't staying? Weird. Surely if people are leaving then we are under paid. Its a mystery to me.

Re: Leaving already?
This salary equates to a bank offering you a mortgage of £120,000.... it might work out for you in the back end of Glasgow.... but try buying a property with that money in the South East....
20% overpaid....ok Thompson!
More like we should be getting £30 an hour these days. Minimum wage should be £25 an hour based on the cost of renting and buying property.

Re: Leaving already?
Did the board expect those new entrants to be grateful to be on 20% less than those surrounding them.
Did they expect them to be given no training & simply handed a walk & be told you start there.
Did they think they would be happy to walk 10-14 miles in all weather.
Did they ever wonder that posties have families, that the wkends were important to some.
I think it will change, but will take years to do so.
Certainly would not rely on Ofcom, nothing more than a gutless company looking after themselves.
But 3 outa 20, that put smile on my face

Re: Leaving already?
This is no surprise. Eventually they will have to pay new starters what current staff are been paid to retain them.

Re: Leaving already?
14 people offered jobs in our office, only 1 person accepted offer
1 agency worker was offered a full time position and was told terms and conditions, turned it down as it was better money and hours on agency
