I've been back and forth with Royal Mail support and the address management team for a few weeks now, and seem to be making no progress, so I figured I'd see if any of the experienced people here have an idea on new avenues I can try to get my issue fixed.
Around 80% of my mail is being delivered to a similar address (same building and flat number) at a different street nearby (around 150m away from mine). I've contacted Royal Mail support, who have said that my address isn't on their system and I need to get Address Management to add it. I've talked to Address Management who have said it's definitely on the system (and I've confirmed this with https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode). Support have forwarded my issue to the Birmingham Central Delivery Office and Mail Centre twice, with no results and no call back. I've asked to speak to a manager at both the regular support and Address Management, and been told there is no one who can help me at either.
Is there another approach I'm missing here? Both the typical support number and Address Management seem to be dead ends here. I suppose it's too much to hope for a third, secret hotline that actually fixes your problem.

The first thing I would do is chat casually to the local delivery person for your round and find out how he/she can tell the difference between the addresses of the two buildings (albeit different streets).
What I mean is, if the frame prepping is done correctly in the morning, then the tied up bundles of mail should flow from one street to the next and one building to the next (if the same street).
Hopefully then you will receive your mail correctly.
On my round I have 5, 3, 1, then 1a, 1b, 1c, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1c, 1b, 1a and 2.
It's ok for me as I recognise the names and numbers, but maybe not for a new starter or agency replacement.

Do you have any tips for how to catch my local delivery person? We live in an apartment with the postbox downstairs, so we wouldn't know if the postie came by, and I actually think they've completely stopped visiting this address. Would it be worth heading to the local delivery center (would be Birmingham for me) and asking around?

Yes go to your local delivery office with an addressed letter and explain the problem they can then look into it at the root cause which does sound like a new staff/agency member is getting your name mixed up with the other address it happens and is not lazy or malicious but simple ignorance of the situation.

It seems like the postie figured it out on their own and came around to apologize (and deliver all the mail that's been backed up) yesterday. Hopefully this is sorted now.
