We are well paid though. Go and look at alternative employment for similar skill sets and you might be in for a shock. Unless you have training or qualifications then you aren’t going to be making this money in other unskilled industries.
That will be the same unskilled workforce among others who carried the country during covid while others lay on their sunloungers getting pished everyday
f**k off and grow a set
McDonald’s workers earn the same as us now
Fact
Why aren’t you working there then? All you do is complain about the job you have now.

McDonald's pay less than RM by a couple of pounds per hour. Unless you're comparing to the new RM contracts which are very close. I have family that have worked at McDonald's and the job demands make it no easier than RM being fast food often running on skeleton staffing.

Yes, I just checked to establish the facts before commenting. Which would serve a lot of people well on here to do, instead of making things up. You aren’t even earning our wage at McDonald’s as a shift leader. £10 an hour looks to be the going rate.

Growing the business should not involve eroding our terms and conditions its as simple as that

Changes to sick pay, IHR, performance management via PDA and annualised hours is nothing to do with growing the business to make it more profitable - its simply robbing Peter to pay Paul
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

sounds like you forgot to do your d2d's today,
We don't have any this week.
We have had 2 sets in the last 6 weeks.
They are all prepped in on Monday anyway.

That's really been the case for at least 30 years.
It's all any union can do when the working classes continue to squabble among themselves and vote against their own interests.

This deal isn't the sellout, it's the inevitable result of allowing the entitled to make the rules by which the union has to abide.

We sold our union out at the ballot boxes, cut its feet from under it, undermined our own future and we have the cheek to lash out at them?

Collectively we're a bunch of fuckwits.

We're sort of in the middle, 4 this week, 2 last, 3 the week before, none week before that iirc, but what's most annoying is despite having shitloads less work than ever before whoever is responsible for despatching them to do's is quite regularly incapable of getting the full amount to our office on time, there's always a straggler that's either late or sent to the wrong do in the 1st place.

there is no plan B.

Who the heck wants to vote NO and then strike again and get a worse offer further down the line as a likely recession hits.

People's mortgages are going up massively, so surely most people will vote yes as a lot of people, not just those with mortgages, will need that extra money now.

And here is the link to the McDonald’s recruiting page, that lists salaries

If anyone could point out which of these roles pays the same as we do, I’d be grateful…and gets holiday pay……and (still!) sick pay….

I’ll wait.

If you think all we do is push mail and packets through a door i am afraid you need your head checking.
Sometimes we put them in greenhouses etc.
We take pictures of things.
We pick up parcels and empty boxes.
We get signatures for some things.

I am struggling to think what else I did today on delivery.
I put mine over the gate. Probably the most skillful part is taking a clear picture with good lighting 😄

And can someone post the relevant percentage that McDonalds pays into the pension scheme for their employees.
Ta.
