Why would it be Armageddon? The majority are voting yes. It's only spoilt brats who don't believe in democracy and throw their toys out, who will come out of the Union.guardianangel wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 21:24And the union disappointed when 1000's leave and they lose membership money and the ones leaving the union and staying ,could be armegeddon for the union exactly what royal mail wanted and ward has handed it to them on a plate before he walks off into the sunset with his massive pay off and pension.yubin282 wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 20:25I think the £900 "bribe" will see us disappointed.guardianangel wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 18:45Same as me i've always thought the union was left wanting and never really delivered for deliveries and i'll be voting NO a third time too,i just hope this time around people actually wake up as to what is going on.
Just imagine it. "I'm coming out of the Union because the majority voted yes in a democratic vote. It's just not fair, I want my Mummy"

The hourly rate is the same, just like every other less than 37 hour contract you get the same rate plus a pro rata amount of the delivery supplement up to 37 hours.
(well apart from the new £11.50 or whatever per hour for new starters)

Re: The historic advance in work life balance. (THE 35HR WEEK)
Half the country sit at home on benefits or have retired early. No one wants to work anymore so the ones in employment have to work harder longer. How many times have you came back from a day off Wednesday and your workload is twice as much on Thursday. That's the reality. The Govement have record debts to pay millions to stay at home and do nothing. Brexit means 's the cheap Eastern European labour who companies relied on as a cheap very quick fix are no longer there. It's not just a Royal Mail problem. If you can get better hours for the same money then you'll have to leave. Simple as. I asked a manager once. How can they reduce the hours but make the jobs bigger. His answer was you have to run faster.
