For f**ks sake, just break the company and piss off into parcel land where you can run exactly like Amazon , if that turns you on. Let us deliver letters and smaller packets within our time - and make the duties workable, bloody idiots. The more you save - the more you'll give away to the leeches. Sick to death of this carve up after 30 years of mainly enjoyable times, give me 2years vr tomorrow.

2 years vr is long gone by executive action I might add, the union have accepted 1 year now in this great agreement of theirs.

We all know you would like us the members to give some sort of alternative, you don't really seem to grasp the concept that we the members don't need to do that, we will vote on what is in front of us and vote yes/no as we see fit. But here's a alternative for you, how about the CWU protect the membership they have at the moment, we are a ageing group and will need a realistic workload as we age. Look after us and allow them their wish to have a two-tier workforce with new starts knowing exactly what they are signing up to. They are doing it anyway.
Concentrate on what you have already because unless something changes, and with this agreement, the union is being pushed out anyway.
The union is in danger of getting itself so far out of tune with the membership it will cease to function as a viable union within RM, we will all leave and they will be deader than a dead thing in deadwood.
Just a thought.

I wont be coming with you with that agreement,Vote NO !!!! or be forever in the office on performance issues and conduct, vote NO if you dont want to work extra and harder and not get paid for 8 months,Vote NO if you dont want to be spat out on the scrapheap with little compensation when your body breaks down after longer and harder deliveries and you have given a third of your life to them, Vote NO if you dont want to lose pay when you feel like s**t after walking in the cold and rain in the middle of winter,Vote NO to managers abusing flexi time,Vote No to a pay cut after the company made millions and gave it all away and finally Vote No to a union trying to sell all our rights away,Vote yes and welcome a gig economy diving the workforce into the ground with little recompense ,we are the members its now in our hands.
Is that a definite NO then ? :Very Happy , I’m with you by the way.
:Very Happy :Very Happy how did you guess :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

Dopes like McPherson will never get it.

1. You need staff. Not just a few. You need however many it takes for the operation to run smoothly. Less than that, and you end up with the kind of mess we have now.

2. If, however, you are determined to try and get by with as few staff as you possibly can, don't compound your folly by making walks bigger for the few staff you do have left.

3. Find another line of work, because running a business, any business, I guess, is most definitely not your fortè.

He basically says:

"WE CONDUCTED A MASSIVE REVISION WHICH MADE OUR QUALITY OF SERVICE ABSOLUTELY APPALLING - THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED"

"NOW WE NEED TO IMPROVE OUR QUALITY OF SERVICE AS OUR CUSTOMERS WANT RELIABILITY AND QUALITY!"

What the heck is this guy on? is he confused, or is he trolling his workforce in the spirit of Simon Thompson?

If you want to improve reliability and quality - you don't add 45minutes extra workload to posties rounds making them unachievable! Jesus Christ - who are these people in charge of this company. They have an IQ of 10.

I really am tired of hearing how we need to change. It's like living in a Futurist nightmare. At first it was exciting but now I've got motion-sickness.
The machine stops.

I'm no expert in running a business but if I ran an office and there were 30 delivery rounds to be covered I'd imagine having 30 staff to cover said rounds would be an ideal place to start but hey I'm just a grunt on the frontline I should know better.

I don’t think anyone is disputing that. The question is how can we reduce those 30 rounds to 25 and thus need fewer staff. Of course, you can only increase the size of the duties by so much, which is where Royal Mail seem to be completely unreasonable.
