£1,500. Before the taxman takes his cut. I'll retire to the f***ing Bahamas!!!
How do you expect to pay for the welfare state without paying tax?
You sound like a Tory.
Just when you think you might have read the most bizarre, the most ridiculous, the most absurd, statement, aimed at you, up pops this!
I await with baited breath, milly's encore.
Take it away, milly!
Are you or are you not complaining about paying tax?
No idea why you find my statement bizarre and ridiculous.
If you want to avoid paying tax on the lump sum then put it in a Pension and you will not pay any .
If we don’t have work time learning we are asked to take extra savings or lapsing whatever they call it these days and funnily enough there are always duties to cover on a Tuesday and no wtl absolute joke never trust them even more so now
dont worry about it ballot suspended means now we get fick all 18 days out for what
over a year in talks with tea and biscuits for what
they can have my union card back now piss poor all round with secret talks and maestro Thompson moves on with our money
My tuppence worth;
If anyone was to vote No then they must 100% back the CWU and any further industrial action/strikes that may follow. Bearing in mind that the previous strikes over Xmas only got us to this current agreement (even with the help from ACAS). Does any potential No voters think RM are actually bothered if we strike now when volumes are so low? And how many members can afford to walk out indefinitely? Mortgages, food bills etc don’t go on strike.
Is this the agreement what we wanted? No But the reason I will be voting Yes is knowing that RM don’t want this agreement. They want to implement all their plans without this agreement hindering them. And the changes/plans will go much further than this agreement allows them to.
The bold is looking prescient after today's cancelled ballot news.

Silly comment milly he was only pointing out it won't be 1500 after its been taxed.
pointing out something will be taxed is a pointless and redundant comment. All pay over and above the approx £12,000 annual limit is to be taxed whether it comes in dribs and drabs or as a lump sum. 99.9% of us know that. We don't have to comment to cater for the other 0.1% who are a lost cause and probably not reading this forum.
The problem with this 30 minutes flexibility thing is that come the next round of pay talks , it will become 45 minutes , then before you know it you’re in for 1 hour flex , these things always start off small and look insignificant but they have a habit of creeping up on you. I do not want to be giving them a minute of my own time , whether they are offering £500 or £1500.
