Re: Extra lump sump £ 1000
It states in this deal that the review will also consider and determine how SISO data can be used with applying this flexible arrangement To conclude by the end of July 2023 and there will be a joint launch of a revised formalised approach to the 30 minutes flexibility arrangement.
The 30 minutes flexibility that RM want is far from optional.
This is how I believe managers will use this - they will take SISO data of a previous day where you clocked out early and tell you that you now 'owe' them 30 minutes.
Another reason to vote no?
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

fight everyday to finish on my time as i wont got a minute over , its even worse with the revisions they have tryed to do , but heho thats life.LouBarlow wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 20:41No, how often do you have to fight?enskied wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 20:34Do you know how often we have to fight about the term optional already .LouBarlow wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 17:48Look up the definition of the term ‘optional’.worktotime wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 17:23in delivery the 30 min flex will be used and abused by managers to have posties working another 30 mins outdoors , and it would also help them with there s**t show of the revisionsted_e_bear wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 16:30Yeah our area rep said it's still being discussed or something like that so another aspect of the agreement that isn't actually agreed, imo it's not nothing to worry about.chickenwittle wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 16:24Been told straight to our faces by area rep that the 30 min flex is staying optional like it’s always been and nothing to worry about, make of that what you will .ted_e_bear wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 12:59Neebs wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 12:41Still a no vote for me ..but sadly I think people will grab the cash and regret it later .
I sincerely hope I'm wrong ,because this will open the gates to carnage of everything we have fought for over the years .
money on we have nothing left to fight for by 2025.
Shame on the cwu your a disgrace to call yourself a union .
If this goes through they're not my union .I'll save the £3odd subs for myself .+1 it's that bollox flexing up in winter that will finish me off, and no the earlier finish in summer won't make it worthwhile, I know we'll work 24 minutes less per day but that's no consolation if having to flex 30 if required which will be most days unless the mail literally all but disappears.![]()
It's also supposed to be reciprocal... It isn't.

My tuppence worth;
If anyone was to vote No then they must 100% back the CWU and any further industrial action/strikes that may follow. Bearing in mind that the previous strikes over Xmas only got us to this current agreement (even with the help from ACAS). Does any potential No voters think RM are actually bothered if we strike now when volumes are so low? And how many members can afford to walk out indefinitely? Mortgages, food bills etc don’t go on strike.
Is this the agreement what we wanted? No
But the reason I will be voting Yes is knowing that RM don’t want this agreement. They want to implement all their plans without this agreement hindering them. And the changes/plans will go much further than this agreement allows them to.

Honestly I can believed that some people are happy to sell work t&c for extra 1000 lump sum.
1500 after tax is around 1100. Will this money change your life?

Re: Extra lump sump £ 1000
You won’t be clocking out early. We haven’t for months and months. Even if there is no work we are made to stay to our finish times, which is fair enough. I can see it being an issue for parents picking up kids etc but the change in start times will do this either way.postslippete wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 21:01It states in this deal that the review will also consider and determine how SISO data can be used with applying this flexible arrangement To conclude by the end of July 2023 and there will be a joint launch of a revised formalised approach to the 30 minutes flexibility arrangement.

Do you know how often we have to fight about the term optional already .
It's also supposed to be reciprocal... It isn't.

No, how often do you have to fight?

Put it this way, they tried to invoke the the 30 minute flex rule after each day of IA. Insisting it was mandatory. They even tried to to force it on us two weeks in advance of the two day IA.
They try to each time the gaffer messes up the rota and finds himself with duties to cover.
It is constantly being misused .
Don't even know why he bothers trying to be honest. If he simply asked if someone would be prepared to flex for him , I'm sure that some people would have.

Re: Extra lump sump £ 1000
£1,500 would cost RM about £157m add the six per cent that's another £246m.
