Who told you that ?
My office is full of immigrants, and all honest and hard working :cuppa
So your office ''full of immigrants''are all going to be replaced by ermmm immigrants? :funneh

Why does it matter who replaces us when the job becomes one not worth having? You are using those honest and hard working immigrants as a weapon as if it should scare people.

They seem to be good workers in your office ( i'll humour you that you arent making stuff up ) so why say '700,000 immigrants'?
The 700,000 immigrants are the ones that have come to the UK this year, that is the offical figure.
It's not scaremongering, it is a fact. Many have come from Ireland looking for a decent job.
Immigrants from Ireland!! That sounds a bit Irish to me.I do love your comments though, take the money,£500 best were going to get, take the deal etc etc.Solid 10 for effort.
What if they all open bars and play deedly dee music and yearn for the old country despite it only being 30 mins away on a aeroplane, it will be chaos i tell yee😳

Things this thread is about;
Simon Thompson leaving
Is it a victory or an inevitable pretence?
Will he be replaced with someone worse?

Things this thread shouldn't be about;
Immigration
The Irish

It's like finally sacking your football manager then the reality the team is still rubbish and you're still facing relegation

I would not call it own goals but did to much over the pandemic while others got paid for doing f all we worked our ass off and got f****d over afterwards by a tricky dicky simon and co. In hindsight wish I took the year off or two and would not feel so aggrieved now!

:Applause Man's done his job, broke this company from top to bottom. Union against worker's. Trust evaporated. All to put us in line with our so called competitor's. This final card played by not just ST but the RM board is solely the only card left to play hoping this act will convince enough of us that we have in fact attained some kind of victory and that we should now get over it and vote yes to the crumbs that are the deal that has been offered. I say the whole f,""king board should resign starting with the other parliamentary bullshitter Williams.
Don't get lulled by this, we still need a no vote to send a message to not only the remaining RM shoddies but also our own union :no no this is not enough!

plus the Director of Football has announced he'll be helping appoint the new manager and also still advising on tactics etc.

I wonder why ST's really quit, can't stand being asked to lie by KW/the BoD anymore, or KW/the BoD have decided he's useless and they can do better.

Will any future employees feel that he's done a great job taking on and destroying the union, or consider that he's manage to destroy once great company?

It would be madness to vote no, because there won't be an improved offer.
Accept the offer on the table and the £500 in our back pocket, and close ranks with the CWU
to fight another day.

The stark reality is that there is 700,000 immigrants lining up to take our jobs, if we vote no and crash the company again.

Common sense must prevail.
Wait, I thought the immigrants were all coming over here to never work a day and take all our benefits? Wish you lot would make your mind up
Immigrants who entered the country illegally are not allowed to work. .Many of them want to work but are stuck between people as yourself who are happy to put them on benefits forever and treat them as victims unable to work and others who say as there is no chance of them leaving because they are victim's then may as well let them work , especially as the vast majority of UK residents are bone idol .
The vast majority of Brits aren't bone idle they are pragmatic, work no longer pays enough compared with the various benefits you can receive.
One thing is strange about the illegal immigrants who come here is that they seem to only arrive in Countries with generous Welfare Systems.
Anyhow all the virtue signalling buffoons who think so long as illegal immigration doesn't affect them we ought to let as many as possible, will be rewarded with an extra few years work as State Pension age increases come in to pay for this lunacy.
The UK is bankrupt and our Royal Mail Pensions will and are being destroyed.

Immigrants contribute to the welfare system though through taxation.

The UK hasn't for many years taken in more tax than it has spent and this is called deficit spending, the Government borrows more money into existence this causes inflation.
The State is too big and the economy does not produce enough wealth to support itself.
The UK economy is a joke that builds nor produces anything of value, it is based on consumption through debt.
People in the UK think that they can get rich by buying and selling houses to each other, rather than building an industrial base.
The World finally woken up to the great con of the Western Fiat money system and no longer wish to sell valuable resources to Countries who steal from them using counterfeit currency.
You are going to get a lot poorer going forward and I doubt your virtue signalling is going to keep yourself warm and well fed in your dotage.
