Re: Ballot timetable
I cannot fathom what the union hope to gain by this, unless - as stated above - they think delay will encourage a yes vote.
Why on earth do they think that not voting on the deal will make management engage with the revisions issue? What difference does it make to management if we don't vote? If we don't vote, there's no agreement in place, so they will just carry on. If there was a vote, and it was to accept the terms of the surrender document, then at least they would be breaking the agreement if they steamed ahead.
It should reinforce to the union that pledges and commitments based on vague conditions and not solid criteria are just words and mean absolutely nothing. The only really solid criteria based promises are to restore sick if we achieve a huge fall in sick rate over an extended period, and that we'll get a profit share bonus if we make a profit in the next two financial years - which we won't. The rest is just empty promises when you come down to it.

Re: Ballot timetable
You know the union are absolutely bricking it, they have obviously heard a few disturbing rumours regards this vote, time to try and buy a bit of time to sell it.
I'd already made my mind up once I'd seen the 'agreement'

Re: Ballot timetable
Probably trying to get royal mail to add some more cash to the lump sum to sweeten the deal and royal mail are saying we don't care if it's rejected cos we are steaming full ahead either way!sixfoottwo wrote: ↑10 May 2023, 16:01You know the union are absolutely bricking it, they have obviously heard a few disturbing rumours regards this vote, time to try and buy a bit of time to sell it.

Re: Ballot timetable
It’s a s**t deal and they know it. Clearly put the timetable back a week so Thompson has gone and another potential lump sum is agreed with RM before the ballot papers land.
These characters running our union are the lowest of the low. I’ll never be convinced to vote for this deal no matter how many stunts they pull, and if it’s a yes vote I’m leaving this corrupt cesspit of a union.

The bloody guy that was interviewing them mentioned it was still ongoing, and Dave and co were just blank staring at him . And now they are just realising this??? This company is well and truly f****d with incompetence on both sides! This is literally the Joint Statement all over again!

Re: Ballot timetable
This stalling all the time is making more members vote NO,i see the CWU have just agreed a 10% pay rise for a year for virgin media staff ,im feeling a little (i mean a lot ) short changed by our union, its time we had a no confidence vote in these clowns.

Re: Ballot timetable
Does this mean "We're back in the room " again or have RM chucked all our belongings out of the bedroom window and told us to do one.
CWU leadership need replacing as soon as possible, it's embarrassing for them to carry on like this.

Re: Ballot timetable
The longer the vote delay the bigger the No vote
Delivery staff will win/lose the vote and we have been totally thrown under the proverbial bus.
I'm moderate but will not vote for this surrender agreement

Re: Ballot timetable
We should all be a little bit relieved that at least the union now realise that pushing through unrealistic revisions is a blatant and deliberate failure of the uso and therfore a breach of the deal already. Holding off a vote further doesn't seem to make sense in those circumstances other than if I was on over a 100 grand a year ide want to delay proceedings for as long as possible.

Re: Ballot timetable
In other words a pathetically obvious lame ass excuse to put back the ballot timetable because they know how angry many areDexydog wrote: ↑10 May 2023, 14:52So the reason the union have given to delay another week is because of RM intransigence and further railroding of impossible revisions, bullying, and ignoring of existing agreements?
Absolute genius.
Do they actually realise how utterly insane they sound??
You literally couldn't make it up.
So they can have a little longer with the propoganda whitewash agenda
It is so obvious it is pathetic
I give up
