The deal will get voted in I’m certain of that. Many will just as they and told and not many are up for fighting anymore.

From what I’ve worked out a full timer will be about £15 to £20 better off.
I think your wrong if my area and sector are anything to go by i think its going to be a massive NO and the union top dogs are going to either eat humble pie or resign ,personally i think strike dates have to be announced and continue strikes indefinitely until they change course or go bust.

What are you expecting to change with a no vote?

More pay?
Cancel all revisions?
No change to start times or sick pay?

None of these are going go happen especially with the company heading for huge losses. I still think it will be voted in because at the end of the day people want job security.

According to the guys in our office they'd rather go and find other jobs than work in those conditions i honestly believe most guys couldnt give a toss what happens to Royal Mail, yes more pay ,stop seasonal hours, stop reduction in IHR,think you might be in for a shock on results day we will definitely be heading that way ,WE ARE THE UNION not Dave or Andy.

You mean other jobs with worse or similar T&Cs than what we have now?

Where are these better paid jobs with better T&Cs then?

These changes are coming in regardless of an agreement or not. The company going into administration would mean huge job losses and only USO critical staff would keep their jobs.

I think the deal isn’t the best especially for us on delivery but I don’t believe we will get an improved offer. The way the company has acted over the past 12 month them trying to do a fire and rehire wouldn’t surprise me at all.

I agree the deal isn’t great by what deal has been in the past 20 years.

I would rather take the job security and live to fight on another day.

That's where we differ ,i would rather fight for what we have, the IHR and seasonal hours are a no brainer and i would never vote yes while those 2 are on the table,if you look hard enough there are jobs out there with t's and c's comparable to ours i'd rather drop £20 a week then go home completely shattered and falling asleep ,im still voting No !!! and just go with it and see what happens, when will people realise jobs come and go health and family are more important and yes we will all find other jobs if needed and how many people do you expect to go to continue the uso ,not many in my opinion ,stop fretting its not the end of the world .vote NO .

I’m really not sure what you think is going to change with a no vote.

Anybody who doesn’t handle mail could lose their jobs if we went into administration i would also imagine some in distribution and processing could also be in danger.

That’s not me being a fear monger I think that’s the reality. It’s ok saying there are jobs out there but making thousands of people redundant overnight makes those jobs much harder to get.

I like that you are willing to fight on but the reality of it is I don’t think anything is going to change. As you said it’s only a job.

It will be interesting to see if there is a mass exodus if it’s is a yes vote. Personally I have my doubts.

As it stands I think it would be a ‘No’ vote, by the time the ballot drops that will change to a ‘yes’ vote, ballots drop on the day they announce year losses more scaremongering, already saying the later starts won’t be as late as first thought and everyone will know their office time before the ballot.

I also expect there to be additional tweaks to get the deal over the line given how negatively it’s dropped, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s 1 final financial benefit to be announced prior to the ballot.

Both sides need this deal, that much is clear.

Even the profit share scheme is awful

The two sides have also agreed on a profit-share agreement: assuming Royal Mail makes an adjusted operating profit in any financial year up to 2024-25, a fifth of those profits will be handed out as a one-off payment to employees, to be paid after publication of the company’s accounts.

We're not making any profit before then, probably not for a good while after either.
The older generation on here will remember the share in success Scheme, which, when it was due to pay out it was then decided Royal mail had made no Money after three years of making profits. All profits disappeared miraculously

MASSIVE changes to our sick policy for so very little in return.!
The mindset of RM is profit and greed, the cuts will never stop and this agreement is only upto 2025.
Just remember how we have been treated the last 3 years.

Working throughout the Pandemic with little known consequences (oh, but we got £100 pro rata whilst the Majority of the Nation sat at home)

£600 million to shareholders whilst we got 2% payrise

Annual leave deducted for striking

The CWU negotiators have failed the workers miserably just like RM have.

I think both contributors are making the point that Royal Mail has offered Profit Sharing Deals before .... and then reneged on the deal! :no no

I suggest the point is can we TRUST Royal Mail to pay out, or is this just more Smoke & Mirrors. Do you trust them? :cuppa

I'm voting no.

The CWU is finished, but we need a Union.

Is anyone trying to negotiate for disgruntled CWU members to join another Union? I will be leaving the CWU after my vote.

Why would you want out of the union now? When these changes come in, you will likely need them more than ever.
I'm not leaving now, after the vote. I just want to know how to go about it.
I'd rather take my chances with not being in the CWU.
I'm not giving them any more of my hard earned money!
