I don’t like the smug attitude some people are getting on this website talking down to people. People at rm are from diverse backgrounds and it’s time people grew up.

It's a personal matter for me too ... So I will be voting NO. I's urge you to do the same.dakka86 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2023, 11:34What you think I’m stating the obvious for some kind of street credit, dear meFoxel wrote: ↑19 Apr 2023, 10:00Why do you need me to point out anything you said that's not true? We agree that changes are coming in. From there what we believe to be the right course of action is neither true nor false it is opinion.
The rhetoric you used was that of Aristotle's ethos, mentioning you were a soldier to build your credibility in an argument. As I said it has the opposite effect.
You can call us chest beaters, delusional and be as offensive as you like, but you'll never stop us fighting for what we believe in.
So as I keep asking what’s the big plan , go against the Union and reject the offer. Then how do we continue the fight. More strikes? When ? How long ?
What do you actually believe in anyway. This job worked for me personally as I could collect my children from school that has already gone from our office but that’s just a personal matter
Unless they have come up with some way for us to work around pick-ups, then they can go and do some more negotiating.

So how are we going to find out the details of the deal, just from leaks from union reps whilst they are attending Friday's presentation or an official announcement before the Roadshow commences?

Very true. I’m fortunate that I can see my end date (not that I’m counting).LouBarlow wrote: ↑18 Apr 2023, 19:39It is a sinking ship. A lot of people just want the lump sum before going. We have had 4 leave this week already, mainly new starters admittedly, but it is a done deal at this point.HTPostman wrote: ↑18 Apr 2023, 18:48I’ve been asked by 3 colleagues this week already if I know when the money will reach our bank accounts. They seemed to glaze over when I said we need to 1. Be told the deal and 2. Need to vote it in.
I know a lot of people are struggling financially but I just find it sad.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

I come on here to find out information and updates about the job and the dispute. The threads are continuously ruined by the same 6 or 7 accounts talking utter shite, being abusive to others or arguing. It’s ridiculously tiresome.

Same here, it's becoming tedious, I end up scrolling through pages of quoted comments of certain people's pissing contests without becoming any wiser.

A job is important as without it, you could loose an awful lot. If you are the main/only earner then the responsibility is on you.
I do agree with you that a lot of people cannot take a joke or try to look for fault.
Everybody can speak their mind, but expect repercussions from the small minority who will try to twist it to fit their own agenda.
