Again that’s it I don’t know what it means. I’m stating facts to trying to persuade anybody about anything but yes I’m unsure about what it means

Re: Will we find out the PEC decision today?
Why do you need me to point out anything you said that's not true? We agree that changes are coming in. From there what we believe to be the right course of action is neither true nor false it is opinion.
The rhetoric you used was that of Aristotle's ethos, mentioning you were a soldier to build your credibility in an argument. As I said it has the opposite effect.
You can call us chest beaters, delusional and be as offensive as you like, but you'll never stop us fighting for what we believe in.

Extremely unlikely. The post doesn't stop. But never be afraid of ruin, it is from the ruin that new worlds grow.

Mate Rhetoric is what both sides are full of. It’s literally just a fancy word for persuading people and is usually just Hyperbole (exaggeration).
I don’t like the smug attitude some people are getting on this website talking down to people. People at rm are from diverse backgrounds and it’s time people grew up.

So as I keep asking what’s the big plan , go against the Union and reject the offer. Then how do we continue the fight. More strikes? When ? How long ?
What do you actually believe in anyway. This job worked for me personally as I could collect my children from school that has already gone from our office but that’s just a personal matter

Why are they still being so secretive about it? Understandably if they reject it, it should go back to the negotiating room, but if they accept it every member should be allowed to read it.

They likely need to instruct reps how to explain the deal to us as nobody is likely to read a 30 page document and bullet-pointing the main issues addressed might not go into the finer details.

I will read the 30 page document and inspect every single detail of it , anybody who does not is a fool .
I do not trust reps to make the decision for me .

Quite right. I should have said ‘the majority’ rather than nobody will read it.77SAMPOST77 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2023, 14:37I will read the 30 page document and inspect every single detail of it , anybody who does not is a fool .

Re: Will we find out the PEC decision today?
I think they have called the reps together to try to gauge the workforce feeling and whether there is the stomach for more strike action. It is pointless recommending a deal that the reps cannot sell and may well be rejected if put to a vote. Especially if RM have said they will go into administration if the deal is not endorsed or recommended. Rock and a hard place or what

Re: Will we find out the PEC decision today?
There is no stomach for it in our office. Even the rep has admitted he won’t be striking going forward. On the one hand, you have people’s eyes light up when they see a £1500 lump sum being mentioned…..or you can vote no, get nothing, lose more money, and have change rammed in anyway and/or the threat of administration. It isn’t a hard choice for a lot of people.timbo1234 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2023, 14:42I think they have called the reps together to try to gauge the workforce feeling and whether there is the stomach for more strike action.
