Where are these jobs with your preferred hours?
I know I can't afford to cover childcare on the fluctuating part time RM wages, but there's a chance that a job with less desirable hours would pay me enough to cover it. The hours alone aren't the issue, the hours combined with a low wage are

I’m gunna try not to be too negative until I read the full details next week but my hopes are not too high that this
agreement will be any good. If it’s still later starts and the pitiful 10% over 3 years garbage then they won’t be getting
My support in the vote for it.
Time will tell.
The carrot of a lump sum will get it over the line and 95% of the workforce won’t read the agreement
Sadly you are correct. Job searching time for me and thousands of others if later starts gets accepted.
Where are these jobs with your preferred hours?
There aren’t many/any I’ll be honest. It’s why I went on strike and lost over £1000 before Xmas, to keep the hours
I have now. Even 30 mins later finish for me is going to cost extra £70 per week after school clubs. Fully expecting a union sell out deal though.
Unfortunately the hours will eventually align with our rivals.
Saying that I have every sympathy with people who will have their lives disrupted by the new hours.

Thank goodness for that :nana .
Why? You have no idea what is in the negotiator's agreement.

I doubt there's much to celebrate, but again I don't know.

We have to see it.

But our rivals aren't really like us are they? I deliver to rurals that Amazon and DPD won't touch, just chuck their parcels at us and we do it for them...

I live in a rural area and there are plenty of DPD and Amazon vans delivering Parcels.

I don't see the point of throwing good money after bad, we gave it a good go and continuing would result in a Pyrrhic victory.
