We have all got 10% poorer in the last year - and thats if you believe inflation is running at 11%

Energy bills are up ?%
Petrol/diesel is up ?%
Food such as bread, dairy and eggs are up a lot more than 10% and they are staples. The loaf that was £1.10 is now £1.45 - that's a 30% increase.

What has come down 20% so that overall we are at 10% inflation - nothing that I can see or use.

Well there is absolutely zero chance the union hierarchy or Royal Mail board are working a weekend, that’s for us plebs to do. So don’t expect to hear anything today, maybe a short update from the weekend cottage home saying talks to continue tomorrow. Buy some lube today for the announcement of the deal this coming week though, it ain’t gunna be pretty.

We have been told we will be conducted if we can’t complete. We have all been given up to 2 hours extra delivery. We are all expecting a warning letter this week. Getting worse by the day.
This is where the union should step in and offer free employment law advice and much support. Just threatening a conduct warning is a form of harassment imo and especially if your CURRENT contract doesn't specify working overtime EVERY day. I know that many recent contracts stipulate that we should be prepared to work O/T during busy periods (or words to that effect) but when you are going over every day then it no longer is a busy period - it has become the norm.

Well let them try and do that then,I think your manager is a lying toerag who is bullshitting you so he/she can impress the area manager, what's the alternative, you won't make it to the end of the year trying to clear walks that size before you quit or are sacked for ill health, why do you think the company want to scrap the sick leave agreement

You can only complete a certain amount of work in the time allocated. You have a start time and a finish time, simple as that.

Honestly people...... i know everybody is tying themselves in knots trying to figure out what is going on, but give us all a break from this union bashing and doom and gloom. You will get a vote on whatever we are offered and can let them know your opinion on the offer with your vote. Speculation is just feeding the fire of stress and worry with some of the posties with no basis except your opinion and i fancy some of you always will have the "Wind in your face" and never see a positive in anything. As for the job itself, we probably need to have a change in how we as posties think in terms of achievable duties, they do want you to finish the duties just not before your finish time therefore getting full value for their money, which is fine by me but means a mindset change for all of us, gone are the days of finishing early but on the other hand gone are the days of working late unless you want to. They rely on your guilt for not finishing a duty you have finished all your RM working days to try to keep you out later, i have been through it and just said to myself "Why am i doing this" and stopped, informed my Dom/Dim that i would no longer be working over my time under any circumstances from now until i retire/leave. He took it well and we have some interesting phone calls deciding what to leave but it works for me and stress levels have fallen dramatically. In the end you must do whats best for you and your circumstances.

Quiet quitting is the way forward. I’ve been doing it for over 2 years. We got caught in traffic last week and went over by 5 minutes so I had a 5 minute longer break the next day.
Start on time
Take break
End on time
Work at a comfortable pace.
No rushing.

Overtime is voluntary.

Those three words are all you need.

Any conduct attempt will be evidence for a grievance.

Bring mail, packets and trackers back and dump them. I have done this myself when managers have insisted that I take lapsing/everything/whatever. You only have to deal with one or two managers. Managers have to deal with tens of posties. You will always have more energy for these disputes than they do and as long as you know the rules you will always win.
