This item was caught up in the strikes of 23/24 December and then the cyber attack. Unfortunatey there is a huge amount of mail in the same boat as yours. Just keep your eye on the tracking - it will move one day but nobody knows when

Cheers. Oh, is that Royal Fail’s tagline “It Will Get There Someday”? Also, is post really still sent by boats these days?

Wasn’t actually addressed to you. Was addressed to Royal Mail. But thanks for your patronising answer about how I should be happy it will get there “one day”. :wave

We can’t tell you what is happening as such because we are not Royal Mail. You will have to ask them for a definitive answer.

We can look at the tracking information, as you posted the tracking number. It has actually been at Langley since 22nd December if you look at the full tracking. For some reason it keeps going through the same tracking point. 07/01 is just the most recent occurrence.

The problem could be down to the factors that are affecting all internal mail right now: Christmas, strike action, and the hack on the customs IT system. But also, this item is going to the Russian Federation, so the problem may simply be a shortage of flights going that way given the sanctions situation.

Thanks for the clarification. I sent two parcels to the Russian Federation on the same day and one of them was delivered 2 weeks ago and the other one has been stuck at a distribution centre for over a month. The contents of the parcel are valuable and I paid for a premium, tracked service because of this. Royal Mail has made it impossible to chat with an actual person as opposed to a robot. It’s all rather frustrating. Will it ever be delivered, I wonder.

I would very much appreciate it if anyone knows of any way that I might get through to Royal Mail about my parcel. Desperate to know. Thanks in advance.
