Car damage help

Post by Bluetubbs »

Hi all,

Looking for some help on some damage caused to my car by a Royal Mail van. Delivery driver reversed into my parked car and caused some damage to the door. The driver got out examined the damage and drove off. This was all in front of a witness so no issue about liability.
I’m not looking to blame a driver but with no registration of the van Royal Mail solicitors are saying they are unable to track/trace the van thus can’t entertain my claim even though I have a witness, delivery day, address and time.
Surely it’s possible to track the van?

Yes, definitely get the police involved, they will have to identify the driver, and not knowing who the drivers is, without a reasonable excuse is an offence.
