Hi,
My parcel arrived from the USA on the 9th August, but has not moved since (assuming it is in customs) - tracking below:
this is the 1st time a parcel has been delayed for more than a day or 2 - Parcelforce are next to useless, and have contacted the sender (my friend) who has contacted USPS & GlobalPost but they are denying all help as well. Are there issues at customs currently? I have still not received any notification of any charges so can only assume it is in limbo.
any help / advice would be gratefully received.

Its better than it was but yes there are still delays if Customs decide to check a batch of mail, or there if there a query over the contents. 10 days is not unheard of at the moment, but earlier in the year sometimes it took a month to clear customs.

thanks for the reply - i phoned PF on Tuesday as it had been 2 weeks with no update. they said they would perform a hub search. Surprisingly I had to chase them again, and they said that it seems that there will be customs charges to be applied, and that this would be done "imminently." However, still no update on the tracking (nearly 3 weeks now) and no letter from customs - what is the procedure / timescale for this, as PF on twitter / website are useless and dont want to help.

Bumping this.
So it is nearly 4 weeks since any update - after multiple calls to PF "customer service" who had previously advised that it was in customs etc etc, they have finally conceded to performing a search for my parcel, as in their words "4 weeks is a bit long" (for reference I have had no notification of charges from customs, no communication whatsoever).
So in people's experience, what is the likelihood of it ever being found? it isn't a small package (11" x 7" and nearly 4lbs) so it isn't like it could just disappear. Also, given everything is tracked (this was sent priority express international via USPS) how often do packages disappear?
