Have heard some horror stories about people waiting over 8 weeks for an appeal hearing.

Is this the norm?

It is in our office. And don't forget if you lose, the seemingly mandatory two years only begins when you get the final decision.

If you are talking about length of employment qualifying you for a Tribunal claim it is in fact 1 year (for unfair dismissal). Labour changed it in '97. No qualifying period where discrimination cases are concerned.

Why is it taking so long?
