Have heard some horror stories about people waiting over 8 weeks for an appeal hearing.
Is this the norm?

APPEALS
If you are talking about length of employment qualifying you for a Tribunal claim it is in fact 1 year (for unfair dismissal). Labour changed it in '97. No qualifying period where discrimination cases are concerned.
