Anyone else getting bizarre tracking ?

Post by C2019 »

Ok so a few items I posted the 5th December ( all international tracked & signed ) have been seemingly lost since strikes and the cyber attack.Today I got notifications they had arrived at a place called “PSC Milton Keynes” but looks like they arrived there in earlier dates. The ones I posted on the 9th of this month have all arrived here too. Normally my parcel will go to Sheffield then HWDC to then fly to corresponding country , I’ve never know any parcels go to Milton Keynes before.
Anyone else getting this ?

Royal Mail are using Parcel Sort Centres, such as Milton Keynes, to sort packages using systems not affected by the cyber incident.

I've also had my items sent to MIlton Keynes PSC - are they being processed and being forwarded abroad or are they entering storage here?

Yup I'm also getting the same. Posted on 10th Jan in London and now at PSC Atherstone as of last week.

Would prefer more transparency about both the clear severity of the delays we should expect and details of the workarounds they have in place, although I guess that looks worse from a PR perspective.

I hope they're not claiming publicly to have resumed/recovered service whilst just "parking" items in warehouses/Sort Centres...

My international tracked and signed parcel to Europe posted 24/11/22 presumed lost has also now turned up at Milton Keynes PSC (19/01/23). An online sale, I’ve had to refund the purchaser. Not good.

That is disgraceful.

Someone at Royal Mail has to know that there have been international shipments "parked" somewhere since the back end of last year and the only person suffering is the customer.

Now had a second notification on the tracking page - again for my parcel - again for Milton Keynes, but this time for 7th February. Rang Royal Mail (30 minute wait after being cut off twice) and spoke to an advisor. Asked if it was possible to retrieve the parcel (content value £400), because I’d repaid the money to the buyer and was concerned about not getting paid. Told not possible, if the recipient declined receipt it would come back to me - how long will that take? Emailed the buyer who says he is now far away from destination so I suspect I may be looking at a loss. Royal Mail just lost another customer….
