I have never seen these deliveries, with oodles of time the postman idling away, patting the cats, bringing the wheelie bins in for the housebound, bladder empty, hydrated, warm and dry. Deliveries are brutal unrelenting and utterly exhausting. If you get 10 minutes to get a rest my God you earn it 1000 times over.
Does this Medway Office have their 40 mins meal relief before they go out or is the 1 hour showing they have stopped 20 mins more.

I know of a van share couple and one is always moaning because the other colleague is forever popping into peoples houses for a tea.

Imagine if you paid someone to paint your fence and they charged you for 10 hours but on cctv you can see them dragging their heels or going shopping or sitting around doing nothing. You would call them out on it. I would anyway.

Got a point but it has to be innocent until proved otherwise. Our guy was taking minutes off our overtime without asking why we we stopped. Could have been in traffic, level crossing or anything. Didn't even ask, which caused a shed load of stress every Thursday morning when you saw your wage slip. This was 2 yrs ago too!

How long is too long? An hour probably is but 5 minutes you could be waiting for your van partner while he’s tackling some of the freshly added oversized parcels.

Of course. So just work to your time. Do everything you should do at the best of your ability. Vancheck. Lunch. Use a lwt. Make sure your junk mail is in the fitting before you bag up.
Make sure your colleague isn’t waiting for you in the van. If he’s waiting 5 minutes a loop then that’s 40 minutes a shift. Get out the van and give your colleague a hand. Teamwork.

There was a van share a while back and the driver would rush around all morning and actually have his break before the other guy even started. That meant either he ended up with two breaks or the later chap didn’t get any.
We are being watched all the time. Do something that might get you into trouble and well, you might get into trouble.
If you find yourself waiting around for your colleague or in the office with nothing to do then give somebody a hand. Solidarity isn’t just for the picket line.

Nicely said. Whenever I had someone filling in for my partner (who shared the work with me really well, we were a good team ; hate that word since Slymon started using it), they would say, 'i Don't need a trolley I'll just carry the bag ' I used to say, are you sure coz you've got two!
