US-bound parcel not moving at Langley

Post by Sashadecerise »

Tracking number: LB275167530GB

Looking for a bit of reassurance, I suppose. Parcel heading to me in NY. Posted on 20 Dec and arrived at Langley on 24 Dec. Of course with the holiday and strike days, I don't expect immediate movement, but I'm a bit concerned that it's still showing as "received" 4 days later. Is this common for outbound parcels? Is it likely that the parcel was loaded on a plane and just missed a scan? Thanks in advance.

You may get one more scan in the UK but if not, then the next tracking will only be after its cleared US customs

However, you should note that https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app ... a_id/5317/ shows
USA

Start date: 28 December 2022
Latest update:28 December 2022
Incident: Winter storm

Latest Update

USPS has informed that storm Elliott is currently impacting the delivery of items. The storm has been causing disruption since the 20th of December 2022. As a result, delays are to be expected for items destined for the USA until further notice.

The USA has had serious delays since 20 Dec. Apparently, the Ice Bomb which hit part of the continent and brought temperatures to -45c has caused problems throughout the system. If it has been scanned at Langley that means its likely in the US, or at the border, just waiting for clearance.
