Before I start, I understand there has been strike action and it might be the cause if my problem.
However, I have a very important parcel that has been stuck in transit between Manchester and Glasgow MC. I thought I would have received it today and usually be now the app says it has been transported from Glasgow to my local depot. It still says in transit.
My tracking number is DS071690989GB
Thanks

Re: Royal Mail special delivery 1pm.
I ordered from Manchester last Wednesday.
(Today is Sunday)
So imo, Manchester is the main centre for post going up north, and coming north to South.
Mine did what I normally does.
On the day it was posted, it made its way to Manchester PO. Its been there since Wednesday.
Being SPECIAL DELIVERY it should have been here on Thursday.
But it's sat in Manchester, it hasn't moved in 5 days.
But with the strikes, as it didn't make Thursday, Friday was a strike day.
It still never moved from Manchester on Saturday.
Because there's strike action today as well.
So I've spent £9 on postage which is going to take 8 days at least!
I ordered before there was a strike, why wasn't it NDD?
So something that was quite important - hence paid £9 delivery - is going to take at least... AT LEAST, 8 days.
All Because of 2 days striking.
Royal Mail will not last. Not like this.
Not when it takes 8 days to travel 4 hours and 20 minutes.
To say I'm annoyed is an understatement.
My parcel never made it out because it was at Manchester at 8pm.
And driving it to Suffolk would put them into strike action.
They couldn't manage it on Saturday either. Or they just didn't.
I've only ever had late SDs from Manchester.
Through Covid it happened several times.
And now this.
It would have been massively quicker to drive up there.
So, it's not going to move today! Which means it *MIGHT* come Tuesday, if not Wednesday!
If it's Wednesday I'm tempted to claim.
Royal mail said they wouldn't honour 1pm SD through the strikes.
I was even told they're still being delivered!
Mine isn't. Mine is in the exact place it was Wednesday. Posted at 4pm, next day delivery.
Thursday wasn't a strike day.
I'm going to look at other options through these strikes. Because 8/9 days is ridiculous for £9.
I just hope it finally moves through Manchester on Monday, and arrives Tuesday. 8 days on a NDD.
That's a personal best... or worst

Re: Royal Mail special delivery 1pm.
Agree with the above. Now on Monday and still no movement since last Wednesday for a parcel that is next day delivery. Absolutely farcical strike action or not. No wonder the company is going down the tubes.
Going to try use alternatives as much as possible now because £9 for this shambles is a joke.
