Missing 'Special Deliver Guaranteed Next Day By 1 PM'

Trying to find out what has happened to an important package sent by Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1 p.m. (ref. SE115535883GB) on Monday, 5 Dec, which still hasn't arrived at my home and was tracked as far as dispatch from Bristol MC at 19.59 to Leeds. There have been no updates to the tracker since then. I assume the package is somewhere at Leeds MC, where I now understand there is a huge backlog of mail (images published in the Yorkshire Post). At the time of arranging for the package to be sent I believed the guarantee was just that, and that the item would arrive. Had I realised there was going to be a problem I would have used a courier.

Is there any way I can contact Leeds MC to see whether Special Delivery items have been received from Bristol MC between 5 & 6 Dec, and when they will be processed? The package contains a mobile phone which was lost on a train and contains a considerable amount of information, including vital details of appointments and contacts relating to my grandson's many hospital appointments. The package is insured, but that's not the point - I need the phone, but with more strike action and Christmas imminent, I suspect I will not receive it.

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Looks like you should get it today, tracking now says on its way to Keighley delivery office.
