Parcel from Canada stuck at GBLALA

Hi,

An parcel of mine (inexpensive hockey jersey) was dispatched from Canada on November 18th and, according to CanadaPost, arrive at GBLALA on November 22nd - I understand that GBLALA is Langley. It's been sitting there ever since, but RM tracking states that its still on its way from Canada.

Is GBLALA Customs or a RM depot? Should my RM track have updated when it arrived in GBLALA on the 22nd? I contacted RM and they said it wasn't in their system. I appreciate that there have been several strike/non-working days since my parcel supposedly arrive at Heathrow but I'm just a bit confused as to whether or not its with Customs or with RM?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

It sounds like it might be in customs. But that is a bit of a guess without the full tracking information from Canada Post.

That's almost certainly being held up in customs. It may just be one of those random batches that they have decided to check.

It's been stuck at Langley HWDC for over three weeks now. RM still says it's in transit from Canada, but Canada Post said it arrived at GBLALA (Langley?) on November 22nd. How is it possible that it hasn't been scanned at all by RM yet? The chances of my mum's present arriving in time for Christmas look very slim now which is highly frustrating as I ordered it in good time! I'm trying to get the seller to open a claim with Canada Post but they're being pretty useless

I'm still a bit confused though as even if the item was in customs, should RM track not have updated to reflect this - added an example below (not my parcel)

I believe customs is before it is displayed at being in Langley HWDC. So there is no update when it's at customs because that's just after the mail lands.

My guess is that it's in a pile of parcels they have yet to process. If they had an issue with the item they would have contacted you by now.

I have an item from the US that has apparently been stuck in customs since 25 November. I would have thought that they would have contacted me by now if they had an issue with it. My guess is that it's just in a pile of stuff.

Back in pre-strike days in September I had a small package from the US taking six (!) weeks to reach me. It was just a small box with an electronic device.

I have the same issue. I have a parcel dispatched from Spain on the 23rd November and appears to be stuck between Spanish departures and the Royal Mail. I suspect it's stuck in customs but there is no way to know as RM say they don't know where it is and Correos in Spain say it's in the UK.

Sadly not, it seems be trapped in no mans land. I’ve asked the sender to open a claim with Canada Post in the hope of getting a refund as the gift cost me £70.

After a month, it’s finally reached my local area! The frustrating irony is that, due to the strikes, it now won’t arrive in time for Christmas but at least it’s not lost! It looks like RM is doing no scanning whatsoever once it leaves customs.

Same for me. came up in tracking last night. As you say quite unlikely it will be delivered before Christmas given the strikes.

I have a similar issue.
Item posted in Montreal on 22 Nov.
Canada post says arrived in GBLALA on Nov 24th.
RM tracking says in transit from Canada.

Been over a month with no movement.

I was worried but not appreciate I’m not the only one!
