It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I'm signed off with depression and will prob get a stage warning because it's my first year of employment but nevermind life will go on!
Nobody can make you do anything. Refuse to work past your contracted hours and remind them overtime is not compulsory. Try not to stress yourself out to much and speak to your Rep about any training issues or any other difficulties you are having. Good luck mate. :Very Happy

Royal Mail managers are very good at intimidating new starts without saying anything but if you tell them you wont work past your hours then they give up and look for new blood. Dont let them get you down.

Good one - how about taking buy down and injecting some of the cash? Two years and you're home free!

our DOM has 300 staff and only 6 Lineos (1 is a floater) so I don't think there is standard for the amount of peeps you can manage.
