We have already gone to 7 day parcel deliveries.... so this is not the issue, Simon.

I wonder if Biscuiteers would be happy with the deteriorating service Royal Mail is providing, not because of strikes, but because Thompson understaffs us. Soon Biscuiteers will end up with owner-drivers doing amazon / evri type deliveries.....Mr Biscuiteers biscuits will arrive broken and crumbled.

Never heard of them and don’t remember delivering a single packet from them. Do they even exist?

Well he does not care about you if your on your 2nd absence to get it checked out you will lose pay that may put people off doing so. But he can and does have most of the year off without doing anything even not giving a crap about the Christmas post.
If he wanted a deal tomorrow it could be done but he does not and will not face us as his demands will become evident on TV so the coward will not turn up!

I watched the Sky interview which you can find on youtube.... he basically rejects going on there to debate with Dave Ward. He knows he will get found out.

He also said "the core of the issue here is we used to be a letters business, we are now a parcels business".

What does that even mean? In my eyes we are both a letters and parcels business. I spend 80-90% of my day delivering letters. 10-20% delivering parcels.

We deliver a ridiculous amount of letters. Even though people thought this digital age would bring letters down. I think the houses on my round on average get post 4 to 6 days a week. And when I say 'letters' I mean anything that is letter sized that you wouldn't call a parcel; a magazine, an addressed leaflet, a brochure, a sim card, some photos, large letters (as Royal Mail calls them), banks statements, bills, tickets, documents, etc...

Going back to Thompson's comment....

Is he trying to imply he wants to get rid of letters completely!?!?!?!

to me , letters are owt that goes through the letter box.
