It's further psychological wind up bollocks from Thompson. Throw a little dusting of hope over proceedings and blow it away again at the last minute I.e tomorrow evening. Don't fall for it.

Because the adjudicator is busy, I think(?!)

Our rep sent us a statement claiming ST had asked for 2 days to "consider our offer"

Here’s my guess (for what it’s worth):
They ask the union to call off the strikes this week to ‘consider the proposal’. We kow-tow to it. They then ask for longer ‘to consider it further’ and we call off the next round(s). They’ll hang this out for a month then, in the new year, with christmas firmly behind us, they’ll royally screw us and backtrack once again to continue their executive actions.
Unless we see anything concrete - and in writing and signed off this time, because they’ve refused to do so in the past - I think we should continue with *all* the proposed strikes. If the union don’t, then I’m out of it, then out of this job after working over half my life for this company in 2023.

Pretty obvious this is a ploy to make the CWU call off the strikes this week and next.

As far as I'm concerned, he can think about it as long as he wants, but we strike until there's an agreement with the CWU in writing.

and even then, how much trust do you have in a legally binding document signed by the R.M ? Haven't they torn up all the previous agreements?

Now the CWU have torn up the legal protections in the Agenda For Growth with the pay deal ballot, the last thing ST will agree to is an agreement set in stone.
