Tracked 24 still hasn't been delivered

Hello,

Currently waiting on a Christmas present to arrive from Very (quite expensive one too). It was dispatched Monday 14th November, and the tracking info reads as follows;

Monday 14th November
20:25Received into National Parcel Hub
14:40Carrier parcel data received
12:55Despatched by Our Supplier
11:48Parcel being packed

Friday 11th November
12:29Order being processed at supplier
12:21Order received by our supplier

Since then there's been no further updates. I've tried to reach out to RM on Twitter but no answer, and when I called customer services they just said it could be delayed...

I live in the Channel Islands, so understand that can add additional time in itself. It's a big electrical item, so am I right in guessing this would be leaving Portsmouth by boat (not air)?

Really hope it's just delayed and not actually MIA..

Hang in their buddy. I am from the Channel Islands to, and I've never had a Royal Mail item go missing. Probably just delayed.

Looking at the tracking data, I’m not sure that it is being sent by Royal Mail. Plus it is unusual for anyone to us RM for anything “bulky”, as RM specialise in smaller items. Have you checked with the retailer what carrier they used?

Wonder if it's going via Parcel Force as they have a single national hub, what's the tracking number?

Condor have reduced capacity atm, as I believe that two of their ferries are in dry dock for their yearly inspections and maintance

It Definitely is RM as per Very dispatch confirmation which reads;

"Your parcel will be delivered by Royal Mail. Here is your unique reference number JF916778565GB which you can use to track the real time status of your delivery, just visit the Royal Mail website Royal Mail and enter your reference."

The tracking number is JF916778565GB.

I've occassionally had Amazon send bigger items with RM in the past, though more recently it's been Jersey Post with them.

I did also receive a reply from RM on Twitter, which was less than helpful;

"Hi, sorry that this item has not been delivered yet. It's been sent via our Tracked 24 service. Although the delivery aim for this service is the next working day, it's not guaranteed. Hopefully it will be with you soon. ^Kelly"

The maximum size for tracked 24 is 61cm x 46cm x 46cm. As you said it was “bulky”, is the parcel likely to be bigger than that once packaged?

It's a games console, so probably? But according to the RM app the service used is Tracked 24.

Tracking has now updated:

Sunday 20th November 09:07: Due to be delivered today - Guernsey

So, it's arrived safely in Guernsey, however I know delivery will be tomorrow as no Sunday deliveries unless Special Delivery as I recall.

I missed delivery of a special delivery item on Friday, when I arranged redelivery Saturday and Sunday weren't available, it had to be this Monday at the earliest.
