I’m not even 40 yet but have close to 20 years in the job and I would take it like a shot too.

Would even take the minimum to be honest I wouldn’t have any problems finding other work. Problem for the union is that they know this and will lose revenue at the same time.

You say that but unemployment is expected to rise with the forthcoming recession, so would the work you're moving into really be that secure?

Trying to find a real job in the real word outside of Royal Mail is Brutal at the moment with zero hour minimum wage contracts. Just ask the Angard Staff who have been cut due to the influx of christmas casuals thrown to the wolves by both Royal Mail and the CWU

Most angard staff have crossed our picket lines so I don’t really have much sympathy for them

Really? I'm angard and in the union. Only one person I know of in our warehouse has gone in on strike days, and he is so foreign money-orientated that I don't think he has a clue what the strike is for.
We are just getting scraps really considering it is November. According to what I hear it's mainly due to the strikes.
As of last week they are still advertising for other agencies to come to our place, work that one out?
