7% this year backdated and 7% next year no strings,no more changes to conditions, if they make it 10% this year and 10 % next year i would think about 1 sunday in 4.
U having a wet dream :evil/mad
Nope this is what we should be aiming for, remember the ballot the strikes are based on payrise with no strings attached,if they come back with anything less it will be a failure, don't listen to the pessimists we are worth more.

I really think you ought to read what's coming out of CWU headquarters.
In particular the latest update.
Their red lines don't even include annualised hours.
The strings, watered down in some way, WILL be part of the settlement.
Like it or not, that's what will happen.

Promoting cross subsidy is hypocritical in the extreme.
GLS only makes profits cos they are on even worse t&c than we are refusing to accept !

What bothered me was the repetition that the deal has to be for everyone in the RM group.
Deliveries sacrificed to save Parcelforce?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Minimum 7% 9% even better , accept change to sick pay
We all know of people using it for extra holidays , no compulsory redundancies or Sunday working, half hour later start times (mwthf) acceptable, there's enough people wanting to work Sunday in our office, some prefer days off during week so don't mind working weekend, how many would prefer later start time start 9 till 5 I don't but some newbie's do particular the younger ones

This period of intensive negotiations looks like a sell out, smells like a sellout and probably - in my opinion - will be sell out.

If CWU put an offer to the members that is a variation of what's on offer now, then the CWU will cease to exist.

Totally agree. I dont want to hear of another 'deal of the century' when in reality it will be a deal that allows both parties to walk away and claim a victory, which will be a cop out to the members.

For me this all about change.

I take a pay freeze for 5 years as long as there were no change to my working day.

 So let's analyse that. After 5 years, if inflation stays at 10% throughout that period, your salary would be worth less than half what is now.

It is worrying that this sort of mentality gets a vote.

7%, back dated to April as this year's payrise only and then next year is negotiated again from scratch. (No deals spread over 2 years.)
Sick pay can be a compromise, don't know many companies that provde full sick pay these days.
Sundays voluntary only and for new starters that know it's part of the job before they applied in the first place.
I would even accept monthly pay
With regards to later start/finish times have they thought about asking staff at local offices level if any want to change. Their must be staff who's circumstances have changed and would prefer later times rather then enforcing it across the board

Everything.
No area of the business should be "sacrificed" to protect another.
