Tracked 24 - priority postboxes

I went along to my local delivery office to have my tracked 24 large letters scanned. However the delivery office closed at noon and the one in the next town closed at 10am. I went on Click&Drop account and it showed priority postboxes near to me. However it is not clear if those postboxes are to be used for tracked 24 items that do NOT require a signature. Please help and if someone could explain why delivery offices now close so early on a Monday I would be grateful.

Those postboxes are for covid kits, but other items will get collected from them, or you can leave behind the post office desk.

The post office will NOT accept them unless they are TRACKED 24 with signature. A regular tracked 24 , ie one that does not require a signature, can not scanned at a post office therefore they will refuse to take it. When you buy a label for Tracked 24 online it actually informs you about this. I called the Royal Mail today for advice and they assured me that if I put my tracked 24 large letters in a priority postbox they would taken to my local delivery office where they would be scanned before going into distribution centre in Springburn. That did not happen just as I feared. I checked on my Click&Drop account and none of my packages are showing up in the system because they have NOT been scanned. To say I am fuming would be an understatement.

Ebay Motherwell, would you be able to list the tracked reference numbers here please.

All tracked items will be scanned at various points in their journey from (Motherwell i assume) to letterbox.
