Parcels going to HWDC
Whenever I usually post something it arrives to Heathrow on the same day or the day after, I posted 12 things 2 days ago to a variety of countries, USA, Australia and Canada and the tracking for all parcels is “we have it” and it’s still saying they are at the Post Office I posted them at and not at Heathrow. Now I’m a little concerned as the person who usually works there isn’t there this week and it’s someone new and I’m worried they may not have done something as they should. I pretty much do all the work for them by putting tracking stickers on, filling the customs forms and writing out the address all they have to do is type the address in, scan the sticker and stick a label on. I’ve never had to wait over a day for anything to get to HWDC in 2 years of sending things daily ….so should I be concerned ?

Re: Parcels going to HWDC
I've had this a few times. Usually just means your local mail centre hasn't scanned them in.
The tracking should update when the items leave HWDC though I have had items where the tracking hasn't updated until the item reached the destination country

Came here to post the same thing, I send mail frequently to USA and I sent two parcels on Monday 24th and same thing happened, tracking just says "we have it" and no updates since Monday.C2019 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2022, 21:35Whenever I usually post something it arrives to Heathrow on the same day or the day after, I posted 12 things 2 days ago to a variety of countries, USA, Australia and Canada and the tracking for all parcels is “we have it” and it’s still saying they are at the Post Office I posted them at and not at Heathrow. Me too, I sent 2 identical parcels to the US, on one of them the tracking just says 'we have it', normally it'd be in the USA within 1-2 days, with this one it's been 9 days and nothingdarkline2003 wrote: ↑27 Oct 2022, 14:26Came here to post the same thing, I send mail frequently to USA and I sent two parcels on Monday 24th and same thing happened, tracking just says "we have it" and no updates since Monday.
the other (sent at the same time from the same post office) tracked as normal scanned at every location and landed on the west coast in 6 days

Anything in them that might cause issues with US customs?

not as far as I know SpacePhoenix, they are small ornaments, 'collectibles' type things, I've not had any problems in the past!
Might it have been selected at random by US customs, even though the tracking ref isnt yet showing up on the USPS system? That would mean it didnt get scanned when it left the UK OR when it entered customs in the US, surely it wouldnt miss that many scans?!
